Our mission
The Quebec Fair Trade Consortium mission is to advance the cause and sales of fair trade products in Quebec by mobilizing stakeholders and citizens through structuring projects for the Capitale-Nationale region.
The Quebec Fair Trade Consortium achieves its mission by being active with the Quebec Fair Trade town initiative, by promoting, mobilizing and supporting the campus, school, event, workplace, faith groups and the Quebec Fair Trade Month.

Fair Trade Campus!
The Fair trade campus program recognizes colleges and universities with a strong commitment to fair trade. It has a long-term vision for widespread awareness and support for fair trade on Canadian campuses and in their wider communities. The Quebec Fair Trade Consortium is promoting the program, mobilizing and supporting the various campuses wishing to obtain the designation. Fair Trade School!
The Fair Trade School program recognizes schools whose stakeholders, including students, teachers and administrators, demonstrate a deep commitment to fair trade. This program promotes awareness of Fair Trade principles by using the unique opportunities that students, teachers and administrators have to talk about social justice. The Quebec Fair Trade Consortium is promoting the program, mobilizing and supporting the various schools wishing to obtain the designation. Fair Trade Event!
The Fair Trade Event program recognizes events that demonstrate a strong commitment to fair trade to participants by raising awareness of the importance of having a social conscience. These events can bring together an intimate circle of friends or a larger community group. The program works with individuals, communities and event organizers to raize awareness on the best ways to be in solidarity with those who drive our daily lives. Fair trade Work Place
The Fair Workplace program recognizes workplaces that demonstrate a strong commitment to fair trade. To do this, they make products available to their employees and visitors. The program offers individuals in the workplace the opportunity to contribute to a world where social justice and sustainable development are at the heart of everyday ethical consumption. The Quebec Fair Trade Consortium promotes the program, mobilizes and supports the various workplaces seeking designation. The Fair Trade Faith Group program recognizes churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other faith groups that demonstrate a strong commitment to fair trade through their congregations. The goal is to bring people from a faith group together around a project that uses their passion and thirst to help others to create a more just and sustainable world. The Quebec Fair Trade Consortium promotes the program, mobilizes and supports the various Faith groups wishing to obtain the designation. Fair Trade Ambassador!
The Fair Trade Ambassador program recognizes individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to fair trade through their passion and dedication. With their knowledge and experience, ambassadors can train new leaders who will in turn contribute to a more sustainable and just world. The program is contributing to this growing movement where Canadian consumers are supporting farmers and workers around the world through ethical behavior when shopping.
